Project Manager for Telecommunication Security Systems

Your Task

As a project manager, you are responsible for driving and coordinating projects within telecommunication security systems such as intrusion alarms, access control systems, CCTV, and fire and evacuation alarms. The role is broad and varied, and you will be a key person in the effort to strengthen both the physical and technical protection of our properties. You will have overall responsibility for both new installations (contract projects) and renovations and expansions in existing facilities. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the security department and other internal functions, as well as with external actors and contractors.

Your main tasks will include:

• Initiating, ordering, and conducting investigations and feasibility studies.
• Leading projects through the entire project lifecycle, from planning to completion and inspection.
• Participating in construction and coordination meetings.
• Managing multiple parallel projects, sometimes with short lead times.
• Contributing project support within physical and technical protection.
• Working on the development and quality assurance of the properties' security systems.
• Leading and following up on consultants and contractors in projects.
• Participating in other relevant tasks within the organization.

Your Team

This position is located in the Property Management unit within the property department. The unit is responsible for the management of properties owned and rented by Göteborg Energi, as well as, on behalf of the business, the property management for facilities for electricity, heating, gas, and cooling production/distribution. In addition, the unit is also responsible for advanced/complex security systems such as overarching security systems, locks, access control, intrusion alarms, fire alarms, and surveillance systems for the properties.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in similar tasks or other relevant education and experience that we consider equivalent. You have experience in managing larger projects for telecommunication security systems such as intrusion alarms, access control systems, CCTV, and fire and evacuation alarms.

We prefer that you are accustomed to working independently with technical and physical protection and have knowledge of contract law as well as AB/ABT/ABK. Previous experience from complex organizations is an advantage.

You enjoy taking responsibility and have an easy time building good relationships. You have the ability to get things done and work well both independently and in various group constellations. The role requires good communication and presentation skills as you will be working with many different stakeholders both within and outside of Göteborg Energi.
